Scootopia Lambretta LI & TV Short Engine Mount Spindle

A high-quality Scootopia-made small engine spindle for Lambretta scooters. This spindle was fitted from the factory to all Series 1 and Series 2 models, as well as Series 3 standard LI 125 and LI 150 models.

An essential replacement component when rebuilding or restoring a Lambretta, particularly when the original engine spindle is worn, damaged or seized.

Sticky's Spanner's Manual notes that seized engine bolts are a common problem. When removing a seized spindle, a combination of heat and penetrating oil can help free the bolt. Once the nuts have been removed, washers can be stacked onto one end of the spindle and a nut wound back on to pull the spindle through. This process can be repeated until the spindle is fully removed.
