This is the right controller to convert the vehicle electrical system completely to direct current (=DC). In addition to this, an appropriate ignition base plate is required, such as the BGM8040.
For the conversion to DC, a battery must be connected to the wiring harness.
The connection of the regulator is very simple:
- Yellow from regulator to yellow from the ignition base plate - 2x
- Black ground
- Red goes to the battery
The great advantage of the conversion to DC is a constant voltage supply even at low engine speeds. Clearly recognizable by the no longer flickering light in idle speed.
