“At last somebody got round to producing this item!” The team at MRP have heard this phrase uncountable times since the introduction of their ‘DUMBO’ air intake hose adapter kit.

Very loud carburettor intakes can drive Vespa riders crazy during longer trips. Rattling reed-valve petals or droning disc-valves, with carburettors sized over 28mm the noise produced by any exhaust can be no longer even heard over the volume of the intake! The MRP ‘DUMBO’ eliminates the source of the disturbance with the carburettor breathing through the frame, as the manufacturers intended! Any suspicions or rumours of a drop in available power occurring as a result are unfounded as the dimensions of the frames opening (60 x 44mm), are more than sufficient to provide an adequate supply of air. Another advantage of the original system is the use of the cooler, more dense, air supply from within the frame – rather than from the hot and dusty atmosphere created beneath the sidepanel while riding. The fuel tank does not require removal in order to fit this kit! The air intake hose adapter can be fitted in a matter of minutes following removal of the sidepanel.

• An intake hose adapter with a 60mm outer diameter, black powder coated.
• Aluminium mounting bracket, inner and outer.
• Rubber gasket for frame attachment. Extremely tough and flexible intake hose with a protective spiral wire, 60mm
• All necessary fixing materials.
