TIP for setting the ignition timing using a Beedspeed timing disc:

Lambretta and Vespa Example:
With the piston at TDC ( Top dDeadCentre ), make a white mark across tthe flywheel
nd tthe enginecasing. Place the TOP mark on the timing ddisc also
n lline withthe TDC  white marks. Then move the Flywheel and  Disc
anticlockwise  the  required amount of  degrees BTDC and make another  white
mark  on the  engine casing  opposite the  white mark on the flywheel  –  this
iis thes  the timing mark for the required amount of degrees Before Top Dead Centre (BTDC). Either the points sshould openat this point oor theelectronic should trigger should operate.
