Ignition base plate original Piaggio (manufacturer Ducati) of the Vespa P125X/P150X models Bj. 1977-1980 with battery and turn signals

The ignitions offered here were manufactured by Piaggio in the late 1970's, but then preserved for several decades as in a time capsule. The ignition base plates are therefore like new, and also have the former high Piaggio quality level.

NEW CABLES
Only the insulation of the wiring has suffered over the decades. We recommend to replace this by a new cable branch (soldering necessary). Then, with little effort, you have an inexpensive but very high quality alternator/ignition for a perfect and faithful restoration.
We offer two different cable branches for restoration (see accessories):

• VSP003 is used for an original restoration of the ignition base plate
• VSP004 is for the conversion to the cable colors of the German PX models from 1980-1982

The here offered ignition base plate with integrated alternator has the cable colors:

• 2x yellow (DC charging circuit for battery)

• 1x black (ground)

• 1x green (primary excitation current for ignition)

• 1x viola (AC light current, unregulated)

• Controller type: 4-pole G|G|B+|C (alternatively usable: 5-pole G|G|B+|C|ground)

In this version the luminous flux is not regulated (therefore it is mandatory that all lamps are installed and have the correct value).
The charging current for the battery, on the other hand, is regulated. Such vehicles can be recognized by the double yellow cables and the voltage regulator with only 4 connections.
As already mentioned above, this alternator/ignition with cable branch VSP004 can be easily converted to the state of the German contact ignition models. Here is then also the luminous flux regulated. The cable colors match then exactly with those of the vehicle wiring harness.The 5-pole regulator (type A|A) used with the deutschne models can then be further used.
