The motor of the Vespa T5 model was not only equipped with a modernised internal cylinder concept but could also boast a number of other improved details. An example is provided by the arrangement and lengths of the cylinders cooling fins, designed to improve heat dissipation. To counter the cooling fins tendency to vibrate and reduce the volume of the noise this creates, slotted rubber strips were introduced to adorn the outer edges of the cylinders cooking fins.
